Interpretation of khrestos: La Mesnardière, Chapelain Hensius versus Cornelian dramaturgy in Médée

Abstract

The paper aims to show that Corneille systematically refused the moralistic interpretations of Aristotle's requirement of the so called goodness of the tragic character.
