Abstract

A systematically undetermined protaspid larva is described from the upper stratigraphical levels of the Buchava Formation in the Skryje-Tyrovice Basin, Czech Republic. The specimen is simple in morphology, with forwardly expanding glabella, prominent anterior pits, sagittal furrow in L2-L3 and distinct palpebral lobes.

It is presumed to represent the protaspid stage of a ptychopariid trilobite. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. and Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, CAS. All rights reserved.
