Abstrakt
The lecture titled "Literarische Vielfältigkeit in der Wochenschrift Selbstwehr" ("Literary Plurality in the Weekly Paper Selbstwehr") provided a brief characterization of the published literary production (novels, poems, criticism, etc.) in five selected volumes of the periodical (1907, 1911, 1914 und 1918). The Selbstwehr (Self-Defence) was a Prague Zionistic magazine which was in circulation from 1907 until 1938.
Due to this fact, the lecture focused on programmatic targets of the Selbstwehr with regard to the literary production at first. Secondly, the content of the weekly was described based (not only) on the literary columns.
The literature showed up to be more or less fixed part of the magazine. Nevertheless, it was not its main topic from the viewpoint of the programme.
