Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2015

Abstract

Naftifine is a member of allylamine antimycotics that possesses only topical activity, has fungicidal mode of action, and is effective and safe in the management of superficial dermatomycoses. In vitro and in vivo bioavailability studies have demonstrated that naftifine penetrates the stratum corneum in sufficient concentration to inhibit the growth of dermatophytes.

Rapid onset of clinical activity and favorable data on sustained clearance of infection have been documented with naftifine.
