Abstract

395 bariatric candidates underwent psychological assessment before surgery which consists of semi-structured interview and questionnaires of BDI-II, TFEQ, OWLQOL and WRSM. Patients were allocated into groups according to the result of psychological evaluation.

Statistically significant differences in questionnaires scoring as well as in gender and BMI were found between the group A (in whom no psychological objection to the planned bariatric intervention were present) and group B (patients who did not comply and were contraindicated).
