Personnel management is a scientific and study discipline, one of the management specializations and at the same time a set of activities which are at least to some extent also performed by all managers, including managers of education. Within the concept of integral adult education, personnel management encompasses the care for people in a work organization.
In all its meanings, the theory and practice of personnel management offer also a partial basis for targeted development of educational management. The paper deals with some selected analogies in the development and structure of personnel management as a developmentally earlier concept and educational management as a discipline that is being constituted.
