Abstract
The paper will reflect the most important events and personalities in the cultural and literary relations between Bohemia and Scotland from the 17th century up to the 20th century. No matter how distant countries they are, they share a lot - they are small countries, which lay in a shadow of more powerful neighbourhood, they both had a Golden Age in the Medieval Ages and their intellectuals inspired each other during a glorious national revival.
