The paper presents basic principles of newly establishing Czech linguistic approach called anthropological linguistics. This approach is based on the theories and methods of Polish cognitive ethnolinguistics and finds inspiration in works connected with the Dictionary of Folk Stereotypes and Symbols.
Currently the Czech linguists are doing research focused on Czech somatisms (names of body parts). The output of the research will be the Dictionary of Czech Somatisms.
The paper shows some problems concerning the processing of dictionary entries.
