Strategy of refusing and granting power in nursing in the relationship between a nurse and a patient / client

Abstrakt
At the theoretical level this article addresses power and the professionalism aspects of health care workers. It is focused on power issues in the relation between the helping professional, the health care provider - the nurse and the patient upon providing health care.
The author outlines the selection of strategies, which nurses use in their practice. Many of these may seem controversial and can be seen as aspects of social control, refuse and allocation of power by the health care providers to patients / clients.
