PhD Training Workshop - Geneva June 25, 2015 As part of the recently launched IMISCOE PhD Network, a special PhD training program was offered at the conference in Geneva this year. The program was open with a key note speech by Zana Vathi (Edge Hill University), winner of the Maria Ioannis Baganha PhD Thesis Award 2012.
After the key speech the participants split up in small groups to follow masterclass sessions and participate in the paper sessions Training sessions were around the following topics:. Migration, Citizenship and Political Participation.
Transnationalism. Post-Migration Urban Settings.
Mixed Methodology and Multi-Sited Fieldwork The full day program consisted of masterclasses led by experts of the European IMISCOE Network on Migration and Integration and offered the opportunity to present and discuss papers in a peer setting.
