Abstract
The paper is dedicaded to the relations of the author and the narrator to the 14th and 15th century historiography in the perspective of narratology. Firstly, in the texts of the chronicles of Dalimil, Johannes de Marignola and Laurentius of Březová, the role of the narrator and the self-stylization of the author are inquired.
Secondly, the paper deals with the secondary reading and updating of the texts, mainly with the perception of the personality of the author.
