Abstract

The main topic of this paper is Albert Bandura's concept of teacher self-efficacy, which is teachers' beliefs about their capabilities to lead students to required performance. The aim of this paper is to introduce this concept, ways of its formation, basic sources and above all concrete manifestations of teacher self-efficacy in everyday school life.

Attention is paid to the potential impacts of teacher self-efficacy not only on the behavior of a teacher, but also on the behavior and performance of their students.
