Abstract
The chapter presents results of the examination of czech and german seniors, which was held within the EU projekt: Activities of seniors at czech-saxon borderland (project no. 100154773). It was concluded that czech seniors belong to the type which is characterized by fear of failure.
German seniors elong to the type which is characterized by rationality and dependence on own resources.
