Abstract

One of the main expectations of the language examination users is obtaining reliable results e.g. when measuring the level of communicative competence. Regular checks on quality of all parts of the examination development, administration, logistics, assessment, etc. represent a prerequisite for providing such examinations.

The article introduces selected control procedures and subsequent revisions on the example of the Czech Language Certificate Exam, which has been developed by the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies, Charles University in Prague.
