The paper presents online search platform MERLIN (Multilingual Platform for European Reference Levels: Interlanguage Exploration in Context) and various opportunities to work with this tool. The core of the platform is a multilingual (Czech, German and Italian) learner corpus of learner texts produced in standardized language tests related to the CEFR, covering levels A1 - C1.
The project addresses a broad target audience, with its relevance to anyone teaching, testing, or learning one of the three target languages in Europe. By offering access to tasks, task descriptions, ratings, full texts, annotations, and metadata, teachers, or testers can see how, for example, learners of the same L1 typically perform on different CEFR levels.
