Abstract

The publication presents conceived modern textbook of interrelated disciplines, and microbiology, immunology, epidemiology and hygiene. In the section dedicated to microbiology text focuses on the basics of general bacteriology, virology, mycology and parasitology, including cultivation and diagnostic methods.

In the section dealing with immunology is a brief overview of the principles of humoral and cellular immunity, immunological laboratory methods, immune disorders and treatment options affecting the function of the immune system. The section devoted to general epidemiology acquainted with the process of the spread of diseases in the population and the general protiepidemickými measures preventing the spread of diseases.

Follow special Epidemiology provides a comprehensive overview of current knowledge on the most serious infectious diseases and trends in their occurrence, including specific anti-epidemic measures, with emphasis on the problems of infections associated with health care. Part of dealing with sanitation is focused on current issues of protection and promotion of public health, the impact of selected environmental factors on health and hygiene issues of medical facilities.

The text is supplemented with visual documentation and interpretation of the terms most frequently used terminology. The textbook is written in simple language and includes updated information to study for students of all types of medical schools.
