Publication at Faculty of Science |

Abstract

This article describes the results of a four-year research project, which sought to bring historical spatial and statistical data into a GIS environment. The results describe developments in the demographic, social and ethnic structure of Prague and Czechia, during the 20th century.

Readers may explore four types of outcomes (historical borders in GIS, statistical databases, specialized maps and a historical atlas of the population) as well as their accessibility and application at all levels of education.
