Abstract
The authorities of the socialist Yugoslavia focused on the Greek minority living on its territory especially in the time of the Greek civil war. Tito's administration substantially supported the Greek communist party.
Yugoslavia not only accepted Greek refugees, but also allowed the creation of an autonomous Greek commune in Buljkes with its own independent administration. After the commune was abolished, the only members of the Greek minority who remained in socialist Yugoslavia were the Slavophone ones.
