Abstract
Besides the Albanian minority in Kosovo that drew the most of attention, there were important Albanian ethnic groups in other parts of socialist Yugoslavia. These Albanian minorities reflected the events and the development in Kosovo, which resulted in conflicts between them and local administrations since the 1960s.
Nevertheless, especially in the case of Montenegro, these conflicts were of a lower intensity than in Kosovo during the late period of socialist Yugoslavia's existence.
