Estimation of the parameters of the map's projection using the hybrid method with scaling, involving analyzed map rotation
Abstract
The improved detection method refines the results of the analysis. Unlike the previous technique, the map constant values are not determined from the non-linear least squares, but directly, using the weighted 2D Helmert transformation.
Two approaches are combined, the method is called as hybrid. To improve the convergence, a technique of the permanent scaling is used.
The detection method is globally convergent and independent of the initial guess x0. The optimizing procedure is based on the hybrid BFGS.
