Abstract
The contribution analyzes the prohibition of stay as a new type of administrative punishment in the Czech Republic, which allows interference in the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of movement. It devotes to the conditions of imposing of such sanctions and to procedures of decision-making about it.
It points out the problems of inefficiency of administrative measures against cases of repeated violations of public order and makes a comparison of administrative and judicial proceedings on imposing punishments for unlawful acts.
