Man between Atheism and Infinity On Lévinas' Essay Totality and Infinity in the context of discussion about Atheism

Abstract
This study is a contribution to the discussion about atheism in the field of systematic theology. It attempts to understand this term not as a phenomenon of decay, but as a non-reduced phenomenon of human existence.
Using the basis of an anthropological interpretation of the essay Totality and Infinity by the philosopher Emmanuel Lévinas, it shows how it is possible to think of atheism as an essential notion and, accordingly, how it can be put into the context of notions of the religious and the sacred.
