A necessary prerequisite for designing effective measures to support schools and make recommendations to the education system is in depth mapping of actual situation in education of children with special educational needs. This is why this analysis was made.
The analysis reviews available data about numbers of children with special educational needs as defined by the School act. before its novelization. Numbers of children with disabilities are presented and the ambiguous situation in regards to education of socially and health disadvantaged children is described.
The added value of presented data is that they are linked to other data, for example about the school size, or disaggregation by region.
