Abstract
On the backround of quantitative data the study examines the effects of the actual procesess of professionalization and individualization of civic activism on the evolution of the Czech Republic's civil society. The processes gave rise to a generation of highly professionalized NGOs with stronger ties to the reprezentatives of public administration.
The study finds out some weak points of the strategy of such institutional embededness of civil society organization. It outlines future development of civil sector particular segments and suggests some measures how to solve problem situalions inside of the sector.
