Methodically focused overview of the development of approaches in selected types of institutional analysis in the field of health policy. Institutional analysis is seen as an analytical framework, using a combination of research methods aimed at the actors in relation to changes in formal and informal institutions (rules) in the context of social change (reform) and to evaluate the results during the implementation of the institutions in practice.
The article is based on knowledge of the general theory of institutional change, based on a synthesis of evolutionary social process, focusing on substantive, ideological and ideological, political and power clashes taking place in contemporary political systems in establishing agendas and in the formulation of public policy objectives.
