Abstract
The paper analyses the Bergsonian inspiration in one of the most complete early attempts to evaluate the acquirements of French Symbolist movement. It draws mainly on Visan's Essai sur le symbolisme (foreword to the poetry collection Paysages introspectifs, 1904).
