Abstract
The article deals with the divorce process in Czechia after 1950. It describes legislation changes in relation to the development of the total divorce rate.
In great detail the article analyses the level of divorce according to specific characteristics such as duration of marriage, educational attainment, number of minors or the cause of marriage breakdown.
