Abstract
: Interest in chemical education is always increased by a chemical experiment. If these chemical experiments are conducted with materials commonly used then these are even more attractive for the students.
Biggest obstacle of these experiments is the frequent change in composition coming from the producers depending on the trends. Cosmetical companies as well as food or pharmaceutical companies started recently to rediscover natural substances.
Nestle is one of the producers who started to produce their smarties without synthetic dyes. Their new smarties are coloured by natural dyes.
Both types of these smarties were bought in winter 2014/2015 and experimental comparison was carried out. We also used smarties from different company - Mars Inc. for comparison.
