Cold acclimation influence on biochemical and molecular parameters in relation to chlorophyll fluorescence of six selected winter oilseed rape genotypes

Abstract

In this article, the six selected winter oilseed rapes is evaluated according to their photosynthetic, biochemical and molecular response to cold acclimation with special interest to their chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics. Osmolyte accumulation, photosynthetic parameters, dehydrins accumulation and frost tolerance were measured and related to chlorophyll fluorescence.

In our experiment, there is no clear and significant correlation between parameters, even though the differential fluorescence-based curves of primary photosynthetical processes enable the future possibility of genotype selection.
