Abstract

The book discusses in detail the development of general and specific condition in martial arts. The authors focused on the general and special strenght developed by functional strengthening exercises, which can be found in the techniques of martial arts.

Selection of exercises is predominantly is focused on body weight with an emphasis on the health aspect. Further exercises include barbell, dumbells and non-traditional tools as TRX, Kettlebell, Gunex, Bosu, Aquahit etc.

Each exercise is linked to a particular movement or technique selected from a combat sport. Each exercise is described in detail, explained the mistakes in movement and photographically documented.

The book is intended for all practitioners of martial arts and has an overlap into other sports.
