Tennis court surfaces have specific characteristics and have different effects on a ball impact and ball bounce. It also works for the tennis serve and its efficiency.

With the help of match records, the results showed, that the most service points were won on grass courts, however the least service points on clay courts. The serving teams have the biggest advantage on the grass court.

The advantage of service is more limited on the clay court, where the receiving players have the biggest chance to win the point.
