Abstract
The publication concentrates on various aspects of the relationship of the Communist regime to sport, for example on the unification of sport, sport organizational development, development of the Czechoslovak Olympic Movement, emigration of athletes or on individual cases, such as the legal process with the hockey team in 1950, the "hockey "crisis in 1969 or the absence of Czechoslovak athletes at the XXIII Olympic Games in 1984.
