During a work communication, the verbal component of the message can be destroyed due to acousticaly infavourable surroundings. In this case, prosody, i. e. the rhythmical and intonational structure of the message, assures the role of a vehicle of information.

The diversion from the standard prosody curve can signalize a dangerous situation.
