Didactics of Chemistry: development, current state and prospects

Abstract

The chapter concerns the historical development of didactics of chemistry in the Czech lands since 17th century until present. It also mentions the current problems of this discipline, its research foci and their classification, and the place didactics of chemistry has in the chemistry education, especially in the chemistry teachers' education.

The chapter ends with the future prospects of didactics of chemistry.
