Czech-Uzbek relations in the 19th and 20th century passed through several waves of interest from Czechia or Czechoslovakia. Two period of the highest interest in the region are 1) the First World War with several thousands of Czech and Slovak war prisoners and, in particular, the period of 50s-80s with the rapid development of economic and cultural relations
