Methodology for evaluating area development using the Territorial Impact Assessment approach: Evaluation of regional impacts of changes in significant employer in the region
Abstract
The methodology aims to determine the appropriate course of action, which will provide users with guidance on the assessment of territorial impacts of the closure or expansion of capacity of a major player in the regional/local labor market, in the socio-economic field. Users of the methodology may evaluate, in particular, regional and local impacts on the labor market, population, economic relations in the region, the functioning of municipalities and amenities.
The methodology provides a tool for qualified estimate of regional socio-economic impact of the extension, or vice versa capacity closures, of major regional employer. The methodology outputs offer to users a general idea on which socio-economic fields should be assessed, which methods should be employed and which statistical and information sources to use.
