Scenarios of future development of the Dukovany nuclear power station's microregion using Territorial Impact Assessment approach
Abstract
The research report is a pilot verification of methodology certified by the Ministry for Regional Development called ''Methodology for evaluating area development using the Territorial Impact Assessment approach: Evaluation of regional impacts of changes in significant employer in the region'' (certificate of MMR no. 003/2015). The main objective was to evaluate the territorial impacts of the closure or expansion of capacity of a major player on the regional labor market (ie.
Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant), in the socio-economic field. Specifically, mainly regional and local impacts on the labor market, population, economic relations in the region, the functioning of municipalities and social amenities, technical and transport infrastructure were evaluated.
The research was based on the need for triangulation of research results using different approaches and data sources.
