Digital media in teaching chemistry: an analysis of their impact on the development of knowledge and motivation of pupils

Abstract

This analysis of the literature is focused on the impact of the development of digital media in chemistry teaching on students' knowledge and motivation. Out of the large amount of multimedia supports used in teaching, the article is primarily focused on videos, animation, simulation and computer-aided measurement.

Besides their characteristics, it also summarizes their advantages and disadvantages in supporting of teaching process. The article compares current domestic and foreign literature in a total of 115 publications, obtained mostly from the databases Web of Science, Scopus and EBSCO.
