In the Czech Republic there is no integrated record-keeping system to account for prevention activities that are implemented in schools and educational facilities during the academic year. This paper introduces an online system for reporting preventive activities carried out in a school as part of the Basic Preventive Programme (BPP) and other prevention-specific interventions during one academic year.

The reporting system is a working environment which provides the technical infrastructure required to enter and register information about school-based preventive activities. The data to be reported is divided into six subject areas: (i) the school prevention worker; (ii)specific prevention - prevention-related topics included in the framework educational programme; (iii)specific prevention - prevention programmes;(iv) non-specific prevention, and (v) incidence of risk behaviors; (vi) qualitative evaluation of the academic year.

The RS is primarily intended for school prevention workers or other members of staff appointed to coordinate the prevention of risk behaviour in a school/educational facility. It is to be used to report preventive activities in all types of primary and middle schools, apprentice training centres, lower and upper secondary schools, and other establishments attended by children aged 6-18.

In the upcoming years, the reporting system should be used to perform the periodic (self-) evaluation of preventive activities, to identify the strengths and weaknesses of school-based prevention, and to assess preventive activities at the regional level and across various types of educational facilities in a consistent manner.
