The Analytical Chemistry Classes at the Secondary Medical School and College of Higher Medical Education in Pilsen
Abstract
The article is concerned with teaching of analytical chemistry at the Secondary Medical School and College of Higher Medical Education in Pilsen. This chemical discipline is being taught there as an individual subject for fields of study: Laboratory assistant (Secondary Medical School), Qualified Lab Technician and Qualified Pharmacy Assistant (College of Higher Medical Education).
In the article there are described methods and forms of organisation of classes, the content of curriculum and methods of evaluation for each study group. Next there is a statistic of evaluation of students and also a result of questionnaire survey.
This questionnaire survey was attended by all study groups and its main focus was on an evaluation of difficulty of particular themes of analytical chemistry. In the end of the article there are suggestions of improvement of teaching methods of those themes of analytical chemistry that were evaluated as the most difficult for students.
