The position of Czech and other languages at universities in the Czech Republic: Some initial observations

Abstrakt
This article outlines some emerging issues concerning language policy in higher education in the Czech Republic. It addresses the the issue of Czech as a medium-sized language in Europe, as well as the question of English and other languages in the higher education sphere - as additional languages of instruction, as languages of universities' outward presentation and as languages of international collaboration and research publications.
