Theory and narration. Towards the noetics of historical research and the culture-development theory

Abstract

The first part of the book deals with the contemporary dominant theories of historical research and on the approaches to the philosophy of history, the second part is focused on the history of concepts and ideas. In conclusion, the author tries to test developmet theories, particularly Elias's concept of "civilizing process".
