Abstract

This publication represents a guide for current common diagnostic, operative and percutaneous techniques used in creating and maintaining access for dialysis. The book comprises seven chapters and atlas available on web pages containing images and films to the topics discussed.

To create a good arteriovenous access and maintain it over time is a target of vascular access team. The authors have focused on all members of vascular access team who care for patients with end-stage renal disease: surgeon in training, clinically active nephrologists and fellows, interventional radiologist, sonographists, dialysis nurses and technicians.
