This chapter in the monograph of field didactics gives an assessing overview of development and state of didactics of geography in Czechia. Development of the field is divided in four phases paying most attention to current state, i.e. the period of about past 15 years.
As the current inner side (transformation of the research subject and ways of its solving, structuration of thematic aiming of publication outcomes) as the outer side of the field identity (institutional and informational platforms, scientific education of doctoral students, the existence of the field community including common activities and scientific communication on national and international levels) are assessed.
