Abstract
The paper analyses the amendment of Czech Environmental Impact Assessment Act (No. 39/2015 Coll.), which is eff ective from 1st April 2014. Th e amendment changes not only the environmental impact assessment procedure but also in the subsequent procedures (e.g. land-use and building permits).
Th e amendment did not aff ect the assessment of the environmental strategies. Th is article is structured as follows.
Th e fi rst part is a brief summary of current legislation in the fi eld of environmental impact assessment and the reasons for the change. Th e second part deals with changes in the process of assessing the environmental impact.
Th e third part deals with changes in consequential proceedings. Authors at the beginning of the third part discuss what's at all term ""consequential proceedings"".
