The European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA) was founded in 1981. Over the years it has grown and its original role - to create a collaborative network of European psychological associations - focused on various other social activities.
EFPA's basic function is to promote the development, propagation and application of psychology, based on European traditions and values. EuroPsy project, which aims to issuance of a certificate guaranteeing high quality performance of the psychological profession in Europe, is focused on European standards for education and professional qualifications in psychology.
Part of the project is not only granting EuroPsy Certificate to individual psychologists who meet the required standards in their own countries, but also the management of publicly available Europe-wide register, which can trace psychologists (holder of the EuroPsy) across Europe.
