Laboratory determination of parameters for transversely anisotropic model of stiff clay

Abstrakt

The overconsolidated Brno clay (Tegel) was subjected to the extensive laboratory testing. The obtained data were used in the anisotropic hypoplastic model and a backanalysis of coefficient of earth pressure at rest K(0) was performed.

The resulting value of K(0) = 0.75 was not estimated by more conventional methods.
