Abstrakt
The use of antibiotic prophylaxis during transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy is state of the art. Currently, fluoroquinolones, cotrimoxazole and targeted antibiotic prophylaxis are the recommended approaches.
There is less consensus how long the drug administration should last.
