Of the City as Text and of a Post-Catastrophic World (about the literature of J. Topol)

Abstract

In the article I analyze the literary work of the famous Czech writer Jáchym Topol, who has left a permanent stamp on Central European literature. I try to discover his poetics and style of writing..

His prose is oscillating between document and fiction with a major role to historical memory.
