What is your diagnosis? The answer: giant cell angiofibroma

Abstrakt

Giant cell angiofibroma (giant cell angiofibroma, GCA) is a rare variant of solitary fibrous tumor (SFT). Microscopically and immunohistochemically, it may resemble giant cell fibroblastoma (GCF), a locally aggressive histological variant of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans.

We report a case of GCA and point out the importance of immunohistochemistry (STAT6) in differentiating GCA from GCF.
